error message"12007,cannot make internet connection
error code 12007,installed windows xp on a desktop model # hp pavilion a1620n,now everything works fine,exept that i cannot connect to internet.i try to fix connection but it says problem querying ip address. please help

cannot connect to internet,under network connections when i try repair a pop up states unable to quiery tcp/ip address.my computer is a hp pavilion a1620n.
